EUNICE P. SPENCER, 101, died at 5:30 p. m. April 1, 1999 at Roselawn Manor 
in Spencerville.

She was born Oct. 6, 1897, in Kenton to John Westly and Rebecca Elizabeth 
Ford Johnson. On August 12, 1930, she married William Spencer, who died on 
Oct. 2, 1965.

Mrs. Spencer was a homemaker and a member of Epworth United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons: Richard T. (Elizabeth) Spencer of Nokomis, FLA, 
and Donald L. (Kathy) Spencer of Oberlin; a daughter, JoAnn (LaJoie) Hurlburt 
of Lima; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 2 
great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, June Ketcham, and 14 brothers and 
sisters.

Services will begin at 2 p.m. Monday at the Lewis Chapel of Chiles and 
Sons-Laman Funeral Home. The Rev. Judy Gibson will officiate. Burial will be 
in Preston Cemetery in Alger.

Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the 
American Cancer Society.
